Privacy Notice
Rosetta Privacy Policy
Rosetta, is a real-time language translation service. This privacy policy will explain how Rosetta uses the personal data we collect from you when you use Rosetta’s services.
What data do we collect?
Rosetta collects statistics about the messages that are translated. This includes:
Guild/Server ID
Channel ID
language(s) translated
The length of the message
Rosetta collects information, for customers that use paid-tier services:
Discord ID and nickname
email address used during payment processing
What tier of service was purchased
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Rosetta with the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
Add Rosetta to your server
enable/disable translations
Send message(s) to Rosetta for translation(s) to be performed
upgrade Rosetta to a non-Free tier
How will we use your data?
Rosetta collects your data so that we can:
Process the translation(s) you request
Provide a way to display your configuration(s) you’ve setup
Perform any bug maintenance based on bugs that emerge through normal use of the service
Learn about the features of Rosetta that are most useful to you
Manage tier-level limits based on characters translated
How do we store your data?
Rosetta stores your data in a secure database that is encrypted, and the security keys for our databases are stored separately from the systems that house the databases.
Separate databases, which do not have common credentials, are used to compartmentalize our users’ data, which would include isolation of payment information from the translation or Guild/Server data.
